Eloísa Maté

PROFESSIONAL CAREER:

Eloísa Maté has been an associate at Baylos since 2023, specializing in Industrial and Intellectual Property. She advises and represents clients in litigation and pre-litigation matters involving trademarks, designs, patents, and unfair competition.

She has experience in patent litigation across sectors such as pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, and telecommunications, including disputes involving standard essential patents and FRAND licensing, as well as multi-jurisdictional patent enforcement.

In the field of trademarks and designs, she advises on administrative proceedings before offices such as the EUIPO and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM), including invalidity, revocation, and opposition actions, as well as on infringement litigation before the Spanish courts.

Her practice also includes advising on the drafting and negotiation of contracts and licenses related to intellectual property rights.

  • Master's Degree in Intellectual, Industrial Property and New Technologies from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) (2020).

  • Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (U.N.E.D.) (2021).
